Ben Halpern

Ben Halpern a Professor of Marine Biology and Conservation Science at the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management at UC Santa Barbara. He is also a Chair in Marine Conservation at Imperial College London, and a Center Associate at the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis.

Ben has been an active member of the NCEAS community for nearly 20 years and was recently named one of the world’s most influential minds in the fields of ecology and environmental sciences. His current projects span a range of disciplines and topics that collectively address how to design and implement conservation to make it as efficient and effective as possible.
