Claudine Uwera

Dr. Claudine Uwera is an Environmental Economist and a Lecturer of Economics at the University of Rwanda. She has PhD (University of Gothenburg, Sweden) in environmental economics. She has substantial experience working on natural resource and environmental economics issues in Africa and especially in Rwanda. Her publications and ongoing projects are more focused on natural resources with application of environmental valuation technics such as the Hedonic Pricing and Choice Experiments Methods. Dr. Uwera is the national environmental expert on the ongoing Rwanda Natural Capital Accounting program, funded by the World Bank. Dr. Uwera has more than 10 years’ experience teaching at the University where most of her lectures are related to environmental and natural resources economics.
