Pankaj Lal

Dr. Pankaj Lal is an Assistant Professor of Environmental Economics and Policy at Montclair State University, New Jersey. Dr. Lal has research experience in the United States, Africa and India focusing on ecosystem services and environmental valuation, natural resource conservation and policy, agricultural and forest markets modeling, bioenergy and climate change. Previously he worked with Winrock International India as Program Officer Natural Resource Management and PricewaterhouseCoopers India in the Government Reforms and Infrastructure Development Practice. He has served as competitive grant proposal reviewer for agencies like NSF, USDA, SANDEE, Sea Grant Consortium, and manuscript reviewer for diverse array of environmental journals. Dr. Lal has BA (Economics) and MA (Geography) from University of Delhi, MBA from Indian Institute of Forest Management, India and Ph.D. in forest economics from University of Florida. He has published scholarly articles in academic journals, federal research agencies technical reports and book chapters.
