Biodiversity risk assessment and management for infrastructure projects under the Belt and Road Initiative

This paper, authored by members of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Biodiversity Toolkit working group, rated BRI projects on their potential effect on threatened species and important biodiversity areas, finding a high potential for impact on over half of BRI projects, with higher risk for threatened species when compared to multilateral development bank funded projects.
