Lessons learned from participatory modeling

Participatory modeling is a research approach that is gaining popularity because it incorporates stakeholders and the public into the process of traditional scientific modeling. Previous trials were analyzed to detect lessons learned, including the skills and contexts associated with success, and signs that participatory modeling may not be the best method for a particular collaboration.
