Doley Tshering is a Senior Natural Resource Management professional specializing in biodiversity and ecosystems with experience in global environmental efforts at country, regional and global levels.

He currently serves as a Principal Technical Advisor for Ecosystems and Biodiversity with the UNDP Nature Hub, based at the Bangkok Regional Hub. Doley provides leadership and strategic direction to the Ecosystem and Biodiversity portfolio and team with a focus on Asia-Pacific, LAC and Europe regions. In this role, Doley oversees effective project implementation and results delivery, represents UNDP in various global forums, and foster collaboration with stakeholders from governments, international organizations, media, and civil society.

Previously, Doley held the position of Deputy Global Manager for the GEF Small Grants Programme at the UNDP in New York. Before that, as a Regional Technical Advisor at the UNDP Bangkok Regional Hub, Doley oversaw a portfolio of biodiversity and land degradation projects in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions. Doley also worked as the Assistant Resident Representative with the UNDP Bhutan Country Office leading UNDP’s portfolio in the country on energy and environment. Before joining UNDP, Doley served the Government of Bhutan in various capacities.
