Living with Fire: Collaborative Partnerships for Forest and Public Health

This article summarizes findings from two workstreams: 1) a synthesis of existing research by a transdisciplinary group of academics, scientists, managers, and practitioners in the fields of forest ecology, fire management, public health, and air quality resulting in a list of recommendations around integrating health and health equity considerations into prescribed fire planning for coastal western states, and 2) an analysis of policy leverage points for integrating public health and increased use of prescribed fire.
