Our teams have published high-impact science papers that have influenced the way global leaders like the World Bank and re-insurance industry think about nature’s role in the protection of people.
High-profile news coverage of our ivory trade research in National Geographic and Time magazines helped push the Chinese government to consider economics in their recent ban on the ivory trade. Our teams create easy-to-use interactive online tools like the Evidence for Nature and People Data Portal and FishPath.

Featured Outcome
As a key outcome of our Governing Changing Oceans working group was the article Governing novel climate interventions in rapidly changing oceans, published in Science this July. This high-impact publication details how governance frameworks for ocean-based climate action and is yielding new insights for conservation practitioners and creating a vibrant network of actors dedicated to responsible marine transformation.

Featured Outcome
The Wildlife Health Inteligence Network (WHIN) SNAPP working group launched a new independent partnership focused on Early detection of emerging threats impacting biodiversity, livestock, and human health; preventing zoonotic spillovers from wildlife to humans and livestock; protecting biodiversity and natural ecosystems which provide the essential infrastructure for One Health; and reducing economic costs associated with health emergencies and their global repercussions.
